Water level indicator is the mini electronic projects use to monitor the water level in the tank. It is useful to prevent overflow of water from tank.
This is not a microcontroller project. It is simple mini electronic project without any microcontroller. Here we are using the transistor to sense the water level.
Material required:
| Component | Range | Quantity |
| Transistor | BC547 | 4 |
| Resistor | 220ᘯ | 6 |
| LED | red,yellowgreen | 1,1,1 |
| Buzzer | - | 1 |
| battery | 9V | 1 |
| Breadboard | - | 1 |
| Wires | single standard | few |
| plastic box | - | 1 |

Working:
Here Transistor is work as a switch in this project. The positive wire is kept at the lower level of the water tank. when the water touch the 4th transistor's wire, the small amount of current will flow from the positive wire to 4th transistor's wire. then the 4th transistor is turn "ON". it will make the red LED "ON".
Similarly if the water level is rise up means, the water touch the 3rd transistor wire too. Now the small amount of current will flow from the positive wire to 3rd transistor's wire too. then the 3rd transistor is turn "ON". it will make
the yellow LED "ON".
This same will happen to the 2nd and 1st transistor. Instead of LED, Buzzer is placed in the 1st transistor alone.
